This week's Sunday School lesson is Calling the Lost. By the end of this lesson, we will: Identify who in contemporary life might illustrate the characters in the parable; Sense God’s grief over God’s lost children as the father grieved over the lost son before the son’s return; Suggest a culturally appropriate means for rejoicing over new converts as the father rejoiced over the returning son. You will affirm how it can be easy for the ungodly to lose their way without Christ, accept that God’s love is all-embracing and unconditional to all who come to Him, and appreciate giving and receiving undeserved grace. Hopefully, you will commit to offering Christlike forgiveness and acceptance to those who repent and return.
